Okay Yokuslu spotted in Birmingham Airport after West Brom transfer developments
Okay Yokuslu has been pictured in Birmingham Airport ahead of his impending West Brom exit.
The picture was shared on X by Filip Nowakows on 30 July and showed the Turkey international presumably waiting for his flight.
Yokuslu is expected to join Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor [Yunus Emre Sel, 30 July] with a £1.3million transfer agreed on.
Okay Yokuslu set to leave West Brom
Yokuslu was arguably one of West Brom’s most consistent players last term. He played 48 times across all competitions for the Baggies and even managed to contribute to two goals.
Although this return may not make the 30-year-old seem like the strongest of players, his defensive work was where he shone and the fact that he was called up to Turkey’s Euro 2024 squad says all you need to know about the defensive midfielder.
Carlos Corberan’s side was close to gaining Premier League promotion last term with the team getting to the playoff semi-finals.
It evidently wasn’t meant to be for the club but with the £1.3million they are set to receive, the club needs to spend the money wisely.
The likes of Leicester City striker Tom Cannon have been mentioned in a potential move whilst other players such as Standard Liege ace Isaac Price [Sacha Tavolieri, 24 July] have also been included in rumours surrounding the Baggies.
Plenty of movement is expected soon.
In other West Brom news, the Albion have let a “highly-rated” player leave on loan despite Corberan being a huge fan.
