Okay Yokuslu speaks out about West Brom exit, announces when medical is due
Okay Yokuslu has confirmed that he’s not yet officially re-signed for Trabzonspor after the West Brom midfielder was pictured in Turkey.
Yokuslu, 30, is on the verge of leaving The Hawthorns two years on since signing from Celta Vigo after previously having a successful loan stint in the Black Country.
The midfielder was pictured arriving in Trabzon and being surrounded by Trabzonspor fans by the Turkish press on Tuesday night (30 July) and he’s since spoken to the media confirming that he’s having a medical on Wednesday (31 July)
As quoted by Soz Bursa, Yokuslu said: “I am very happy to be a part of this community again with such a welcome after a long break.
“No official signatures have been made yet, but if there are no problems after the health checks tomorrow (Wednesday), everything will go well and I will join the team.
“I hope it will be a good season both in Turkey and in Europe.”
West Brom fans bid farewell to Okay Yokuslu
It’s been a bit of a mad week so far at The Hawthorns.
Devante Cole has been brought in to add a new striker option to Carlos Corberan’s attack and while many fans are quite underwhelmed by the deal, it’s still an extra body and a back-up option going into the new campaign.
Yokuslu, Conor Townsend and Brandon Thomas-Asante are all being strongly linked with a move and after playing such key roles last term, they’ll need to be replaced.
Ousmane Diakité has already been signed by the Baggies so it remains to be seen if he was brought in with a view to Yokuslu leaving or if he was brought in to potentially play a back-up role to him.
It’s likely the former because it’s been obvious since the start of the summer that Yokuslu would be on the move before the end of August as he’s in the final year of his contract.

Albion fans don’t need to be in a meltdown, though.
There are enough bodies in the squad right now to be competitive when the season starts in two weeks’ time, it’s just about whether or not the quality is there to match or surpass what Carlos’ men did last season.
In other West Brom news, fans are furious with an official club announcement, with one saying it’s why he didn’t bother to renew his season ticket.
