Neil Harris in contact with Jayson Molumby as West Brom transfer on cards
Millwall manager Neil Harris admitted he has remained in contact with West Brom ace Jayson Molumby after new transfer links emerged.
The Lions are in the hunt to re-sign the 24-year-old midfielder, according to The Mirror [4 August], having spent the 2019/20 season on loan at The Den with Harris.
It is unclear whether the Baggies would be open to allowing Molumby to leave after Okay Yokuslu’s return to Turkey, and the Millwall boss has now addressed the transfer rumours.
Speaking to South London Press on Monday (5 August), Harris said: We’ve been linked with a lot of players in the last 10-14 days and rightly so because we’re looking to add to the group. Hopefully, before Saturday but certainly in the next three weeks.
“Jayson is obviously a player I know well because I signed him originally from Brighton and I’ve really enjoyed staying in contact with him and watching him mature.”
West Brom to lose Jayson Molumby after Okay Yokuslu exit?
The Baggies are unlikely to open to the idea of losing the Republic of Ireland international after already losing one of their most experienced midfielders this summer.
Molumby has made 73 appearances since signing on a permanent deal at The Hawthorns in 2022, becoming an important part of Carlos Corberan’s squad.
However, the 24-year-old missed 26 matches of the 2023/24 campaign after suffering a disappointing injury in January. Despite this, he looks fit and ready to come back into the fold.

While the midfielder could be unavailable for West Brom’s opening matches of the season [The Mirror], having been charged by The FA for being involved in a fight against Mallorca, the Lions are clearly not put off the transfer.
Corberan must use every trick in the book to keep Molumby this summer, with the midfielder returning to full fitness, and providing another option in the middle of the park.
