Gennaro Gattuso swears at ex-West Brom star in press conference – ‘You speak too much’

Hajduk Split manager Gennaro Gattuso has told former West Brom midfielder Filip Krovinović to “f*** off” in a press conference.

The former Italy international and the Croatian midfielder were speaking on 7 August ahead of their game against Slovakian side Ružomberok in the Europa Conference League on Thursday evening (8 August).

In a video shared by Hajduk on X, Gattuso clearly didn’t want the ex-Baggies star to talk for too long in an expletive statement.

He said: “Filip, you speak too much, come on, very quickly and **** off!”

Ex-West Brom star Filip Krovinovic sworn at in press conference

The Croatian spent two loan spells at the Hawthorns with neither being particularly fruitful as an individual despite initial excitement at his signing.

Krovinovic came off the back of two seasons featuring for Portuguese giants Benfica before helping the Baggies back to the Premier League.

In his second campaign in the Midlands, the now 28-year-old featured sparingly before confirming a switch to Nottingham Forest.

Supporters will always remember the midfielder for his relationship with Matheus Periera and his infectious personality.

The midfielder wasn’t Premier League standard and wasn’t amazing in the Championship either but still obtained somewhat cult status at the Hawthorns.

Since he departed, Krovinovic has gone on to become a stalwart in Croatia with Hajduk Split having made 120 appearances there over four seasons [FotMob].

It is clear that there is a good relationship there with Gattuso and it will please Baggies fans to see him with a smile on his face.
