Jayson Molumby at beginning of the end at West Brom after latest developments
Dan Bardell believes Jayson Molumby could leave West Brom after his pre-season antics amid interest from Millwall.
The Ireland international had a fight on the pitch against Mallorca, taking aim at Samu Costa which has resulted in an FA charge.
This could see the 25-year-old miss out on the opening matches of the Championship season with the Baggies opening against QPR on Saturday (10 August).
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell has suggested it is tough to call if the midfielder will leave the Hawthorns with a potential return to the Den on the cards [The Mirror].
Speaking exclusively to West Brom News, Bardell said: “There are pros and cons to a deal, I couldn’t really call it either way.
“When you have a player who has done what he has done, even if it is only in preseason, it can become a distraction.
“It could be the beginning of the end for a player especially when a return to an old club is on the table.
“I’d struggle to say what will happen.“
Jayson Molumby could join Millwall from West Brom
It is safe to say that the majority of Baggies fans will not have seen one of their players start a fight in a pre-season friendly but now they have.
Carlos Corberan hasn’t shown a lack of faith in the Irishman given his substitute appearance against Birmingham City.
With that being said, if West Brom could pick up a positive fee for the midfielder from Millwall then a sale could be a useful option.

With the season opener on the horizon, the Baggies need to keep hold of their best players and Molumby is one of those.
In other West Brom news, Jed Wallace could be one of three Baggies players who may leave The Hawthorns ahead of the transfer deadline
