West Brom submit second bid for Sabovic, Djurgardens respond as he seeks Baggies deal

West Brom have submitted a second bid for Djurgardens midfielder Besard Sabovic, according to DOOD.

The news source reported on 8 August that the second offer for the 26-year-old was also turned down by the Swedish club.

However, the Swedish central midfielder is keen on leaving the Djurgardens who are open to cashing in on him this summer.

Via X, DOOD wrote: “Just on Sabovic he doesn’t have long left on his contract. They want to sell and he wants out. Let’s hope we can strike a deal. 2 bids so far from us have been rejected.”

West Brom must agree personal terms with Besard Sabovic and then make a third bid

The Baggies’ Sabovic is a crucial step in strengthening their squad for the upcoming season.

His desire to leave his current club, coupled with Djurgardens’ willingness to cash in on him, makes this an opportune moment for West Brom to secure his services.

To facilitate the transfer, the Hawthorns outfit must first agree personal terms with the 26-year-old as this will demonstrate their commitment to the player and ensure that he is willing to join the club.

Once personal terms are agreed upon, the Baggies should submit a third bid, which should be competitive enough to persuade Djurgardens to accept the offer.

The impact Sabovic can have on Carlos Corberan’s first team is significant which is why it’s imperative not to give up the chase.

As a Swedish central midfielder, he brings a wealth of experience and technical ability to the squad. His presence in the midfield can provide stability, creativity and a strong defensive presence, which will be invaluable to the club’s promotion ambitions.

In other West Brom news, a major development has emerged as the Baggies eye a free transfer of an ex-Manchester United player ahead of the 30 August deadline.
