Daryl Dike shares what people don’t know about Josh Maja after West Brom hat-trick

Daryl Dike has shared an insight into Josh Maja’s hard work after his opening-day West Brom hat-trick against QPR.

The Nigerian has begun the season in record-breaking fashion, scoring three for the Baggies at Loftus Road.

After a season filled with injury last time out, his teammate shared a message to X on 11 August to tell supporters about the work that the 25-year-old has put in to return to action.

He said: “People don’t know how much this guy has worked for this. Many blessings to my boy! Keep going.”

Josh Maja makes hard work count for West Brom

After Carlos Corberan lost Brandon Thomas-Asante to Coventry City, there was a worry that his side could be left short in the striker position.

Devante Cole has come in but will now play second fiddle to Maja after a near-perfect performance on the Championship opening day.

This is clearly deserved after a difficult campaign at the Hawthorns last time out where injuries hampered his progress for the Baggies.

Dike is another player whose spell at the club has been hurt by injury troubles so he knows what the former Sunderland star has been going through.

To see the pair be so close and be willing to share these sorts of messages on social media is great to see for supporters.

Now the fans will be hoping that Maja can keep up the form that he has started the season with, against QPR, and can be joined by the USMNT international later in the campaign.

In other West Brom news, an “important” exit has been allowed this summer despite Corberan being a huge fan.
