West Brom open Noel Buck transfer talks as New England Revolution exit update emerges

West Brom have held talks over a potential transfer for New England Revolution star Noel Buck, according to talkwba.

The X account which broke the news that Lewis Dobbin was set to move to The Hawthorns reported on Sunday (11 August) that the Baggies are keeping an eye on the England youth international this summer.

Currently, no deal is close to being agreed between the clubs and it isn’t yet clear whether or not Buck will make the move to the Championship with the Baggies before the window slams shut at the end of August.

Carlos Corberan’s side are currently prioritising other targets as they look to continue to add to their squad following their opening-day win against QPR at Loftus Road.

Will Noel Buck exit New England Revolution amid West Brom transfer rumours?

Buck has spent the entirety of his senior footballing career in the United States and while his record in the MLS this term hasn’t been excellent, he has shone with England U20s in the past.

The versatile midfielder primarily plays as a right winger but is just as capable of playing in the middle of the park or even at the base of the midfield. If this deal is completed, he would add some much-needed versatility to Corberan’s side.

After a quiet couple of weeks in the transfer window, Albion have well and truly come alive in the last week or so, but supporters shouldn’t expect any sort of announcement around this deal in the coming days.

However, there could be one or two deals closer to completion at The Hawthorns ahead of the transfer deadline, especially if other transfers are being prioritised ahead of any potential move for Buck.

West Brom’s display against QPR was excellent at Loftus Road, but the supporters and Corberan both know that further reinforcements are required for the Baggies to keep up that standard of performance.
