Josh Maja blown away by West Brom fan video – ‘Wow’

West Brom striker Josh Maja has been left blown away by a West Brom supporter’s video following his excellent display against QPR.

The Baggies forward got his season off to the perfect start in Albion’s 3-1 win at Loftus Road on Saturday (10 August) as he scored a hattrick after Carlos Corberan’s side fell behind in the first half.

Maja has been widely praised by supporters and pundits alike for his goalscoring heroics, including in one video that has gone viral on social media of two young Albion fans admitting he is their new favourite player.

Reposting the video via X on Monday (12 August) the Albion striker responded: “Ahh wow, thank you, such a heartwarming moment all the support is so appreciated for real.

“If anyone has any details so I can get in contact with Tola and Kev? Would love to sort some tickets and shirts for them.”

Josh Maja stars for West Brom in QPR win

He may not have had the easiest start to life at The Hawthorns, but Maja has certainly got every single West Brom fan on his side with both his display at Loftus Road and his reaction to the support he has received from supporters.

The forward was always going to have to step up following Brandon Thomas-Asante’s departure and his display on the opening weekend showed that if he can stay fit, he can be the frontman Corberan has been looking for.

Of course, one game doesn’t make a season, but the 25-year-old looked fitter and sharper than he did at any stage last year having got a full pre-season under his belt.

Hopefully, he can keep up this good start over the course of the campaign and continue to win over fans like Tola and Kev between now and the end of the Championship season.

If he can keep finding the back of the net while Devante Cole adjusts to life at The Hawthorns and Daryl Dike once again makes his way back from injury, Corberan could have an exciting strike force at his disposal.
