West Brom given three-point plan amid Stelios Andreou transfer development
West Brom will need to take a few things into consideration if they are to sign Charleroi defender Stelios Andreou, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that things like his nutrition, sleep and mental health will have to specifically be factored in as he’s not played outside Cyprus before.
This comes after Football Insider reported on 2 August the Baggies want to sign the Cyprus international who’ll be available for around £1.25million.
Reacting to this development, injury expert Dr Brar – who is a physical therapy specialist and sports scientist – has told West Brom News:
“He has never played outside Cyprus, so there are three things I’d recommend to ensure he fits in well.
“Firstly, a methodical fitness plan needs to be in place to adapt to the physicality, intensity, and sprinting of the English game.
“Secondly, ensuring his nutrition, sleep hygiene and mental health plans are in place.
“Thirdly, making sure he gives himself time to settle in his new location is paramount.“
Stelios Andreou would be a decent signing for West Brom
The 22-year-old would add much needed solidity to the backline and walk into the strongest playing eleven.
Carlos Corberan’s side needs a solid defender in their backline after Cedric Kipre’s departure and there’s every reason to believe that Andreou would do a good job replacing him.

However, they will need to factor in whether he fits into their budget or if this deal is one that’s too difficult to do.
In other West Brom news, the Baggies are currently holding talks to sign yet another striker with Premier League experience.
