West Brom fans will love what Noni Madueke said about Wolverhampton

West Brom supporters have taken plenty of amusement out of a recent social media post by Chelsea man Noni Madueke.

Sharing a now-deleted post on his Instagram story on Saturday night [24 August], screenshot and posted by Baggies Fans on X [25 August], Madueke said of Wolverhampton: “Everything about this place is s***.”

Chelsea take on Albion’s bitter rivals Wolves at Molineux on Sunday afternoon, after Carlos Corberan’s Baggies remained in the Midlands themselves, beating Stoke City 2-1 at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday.

West Brom fans’ weekend gets even better

Unless you’re a West Brom fan who has long resided in Wolverhampton or has a strong family background in the area, Madueke’s deleted post will have further improved your weekend after Saturday’s win.

The Chelsea star claimed the post was intended for his private Instagram story, joking that “you lot are too fast” after screenshots aplenty were instantly plastered across social media by amused fans [Daily Mail, 25 August].

The welcome the 22-year-old will receive during his game with Wolves on Sunday may get a little more hostile as a result of his slip-up.

As for the Albion, it was an excellent three points at Stoke, whose win over promotion hopefuls Coventry City at the bet365 on the opening weekend showed how difficult it can be to go and win in Staffordshire.

Supporters will be hoping for an extra boost this week in the transfer market as Friday’s deadline quickly approaches, before hosting Swansea City to round off August.
