Daryl Dike has shared a remarkable insight into what it is like working under Carlos Corberan at West Brom.
The United States international, currently on the sidelines through injury, was responding to a question asked to him on his personal TikTok account [26 August].
Dike was asked by a supporter what the best thing about working under Corberan is.
He replied: “The best thing is you always know what you need to do. Every single training session, he drills tactically what to expect in the next game, where you should be, how to press – everything like that.
“Having a manager like that, you never go into a game confused. You know there’ll be questions during the game that you already have answers to solve it.
“He does a very good job at that and makes your life easier, whether offensively or defensively.”

Corberan has worked nothing short of a miracle during his time in charge at The Hawthorns.
Many were perhaps guilty of taking last season’s fifth-placed finish for granted, with the top three of Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Leeds United the best top three the division has ever seen.
Southampton in fourth were also impressive, and ultimately proved just too strong for Albion in the playoff semis.
Corberan has also made a bright start to the 2024-25 campaign, despite once again working with a limited budget.
After losing a number of key players and not replacing them like-for-like in terms of quality – on paper, at least – many managers would make their displeasure known.
Not Carlos. West Brom have a Premier League manager in waiting in their dugout, but unfortunately he will not stick around forever if the Baggies cannot match his ambitions.
Let’s just hope the club fully back him in the final days of the transfer window so that he can work his magic once again over the next nine months.
