Tom Fellows exit terms emerge at West Brom as Everton consider last-minute transfer

West Brom could lose Tom Fellows before the 30 August transfer deadline if their £15million valuation is met, according to TEAMtalk.

The outlet reported via its website on Wednesday (28 August) that while the Baggies are keen to fend off any last-minute Premier League offers for the winger, but could lose him before the window slams shut.

Both Everton and Southampton are known to be interested in the 21-year-old and are considering late approaches, with the latter seeing a £10million bid rejected by Albion for his services earlier in the window.

Reports also suggest that Ipswich Town have seen an £11million offer for the young winger turned down by Carlos Corberan’s side as they look to keep one of their biggest assets beyond the end of August [The Sun, 28 August].

Will Tom Fellows exit West Brom amid Everton transfer rumours?

It would be a nightmare for Corberan and the Baggies if they were to lose Fellows at this point of the transfer window, particularly now that both the winger and the club itself have had an excellent start to the season.

Although there is still a lot of football to be played, there is a feeling around The Hawthorns that this side is capable of mounting another serious top-six push, especially if they get their business right in the final hours of the summer.

But West Brom’s financial fair play position means that they are not going to be able to reject an offer that comes close to their valuation of Fellows as that sort of money would majority aid their bid to not breach PSR this season.

Hopefully, none of the interested clubs will come close to matching the £15million asking price in the final hours of August. That way, the decision-makers at the top of the club won’t have a difficult decision to make.

However, if a £15million bid does land at The Hawthorns before the 30 August deadline, Albion are going to have to make a call that could upset and divide the fanbase after a positive start to the campaign.
