Cedric Kipre sends two-word message as forward quits West Brom

Cedric Kipre has taken to social media to send a message to Mo Faal, following his permanent departure from West Brom to Wrexham.

Kipre commented on Faal’s Instagram post [30 August] having sealed an exit from The Hawthorns, moving to North Wales on a three-year deal.

The 21-year-old leaves after just three senior appearances for Albion, the last of which yielding a goal against Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup earlier this month.

Kipre, who left to join Reims on a free transfer earlier this summer, commented: “Big Mo”, followed by a red heart emoji.

West Brom let Mo Faal move on

With first-team opportunities limited and Faal now having turned 21, it appears to be a move that is better for all parties.

The Gambian striker – who has had a series of loan stints for experience whilst signed up at The Hawthorns – can now enjoy a proper new chapter in League One, with a forward-thinking and ambitious club under Hollywood ownership.

Faal bowed out in style with a senior goal for the Baggies, and along with Kipre, now joins 12 other players through the summer exit door.

Josh Maja, Devante Cole and Karlan Grant are all recognised strikers in Carlos Corberan’s squad, with Jed Wallace having also played through the middle in the past.

Faal scored 13 goals in 45 appearances across spells with Walsall and Doncaster Rovers last year, and now has the platform to test himself a level above.
