West Brom must make Carlos Corberan decision as Everton line up appointment

West Brom have started the 2024/25 season off very well with the Baggies finding themselves in second place in the Championship.

Carlos Corberan’s men have started the new season as they finished the last and are looking like strong promotion candidates despite the campaign only just starting.

The club made smart transfer decisions with the likes of Callum Styles [23 August] and Mikey Johnston both being added to their ranks.

However, their good run of form would more than likely halt in place should Corberan exit The Hawthorns for Everton this term.

The Spaniard has been tipped to potentially take over the Premier League [The Express], with Sean Dyche under mounting pressure of the sack.

West Brom to make Carlos Corberan decision before Everton

Although a change of manager wouldn’t be the be-all and end-all of the Baggies’ chances, it would be difficult for any incoming managers to replicate the results that Corberan is getting out of his team.

The Spaniard has a specific style of play that opponents often find difficult to compete against with this also being shown during his time with Huddersfield Town.

There has been a massive overhaul at The Hawthorns across the summer window and although things have started to look up, without Corberan they’d be nowhere near the level that they currently find themselves at.

Only time will tell what the future holds for both Corberan and West Brom but, one thing is certain, if the Baggies allow their manager to join another club before the end of the season, all hell will likely break loose among the fans.
