West Brom confirm Joe Wallis signing

It is certainly a positive to see the club building from the bottom up by adding signings to the academy after a positive transfer window for the first team.

The Kiwi has been a regular starter in New Zealand’s National League North for Auckland which shows the quality he possesses at such a young age.

Regardless of the standard of division, being a starter at 19 shows the trust placed in him which usually isn’t afforded to goalkeepers.

Carlos Corberan’s squad already boasts a wealth of talent in between the sticks, with Joshua Griffiths even shining while out on loan.

The incoming youngster will have a challenge on his hands to become a regular at The Hawthorns, but it won’t hurt for him to feature in the academy set-up for a few years.

This is yet more positive news for the Baggies in what is an exciting period for the club – not just an senior level but also below.
