Sky Sports host predicts West Brom vs Plymouth Argyle result, ‘I’m going to go…’
David Prutton has backed West Brom to continue their unbeaten start to the Championship season against Plymouth Argyle this weekend.
The Pilgrims earned a last-gasp 3-2 win over Sunderland last time out to knock the Black Cats off top spot in the table.
That allowed the Baggies to reach the summit courtesy of a convincing 3-0 victory over Portsmouth, making it four wins and a draw from five league outings for Carlos Corberan’s high fliers.
Sky Sports host Prutton, speaking on Sky’s ‘Essential EFL’ podcast (19 September), foresees another tick in the win column for the Baggies when they host Plymouth at The Hawthorns on Saturday (21 September).
He said: “I’m going to go Baggies to win 2-0.”
West Brom have golden opportunity against Plymouth
It has been an absolutely outstanding start for Corberan and the Baggies, and supporters are certainly loving the feelgood factor at The Hawthorns right now.
The strength in depth in the squad is fantastic, so good in fact that Mikey Johnston has been struggling to break into the starting XI, though you sense he will play a huge part for the team this season.
It may still be extremely early in the season but it will not be lost on Corberan, the players, or the fanbase just how good an opportunity there is at home to Plymouth.

Wayne Rooney’s side will be riding the crest of a wave after earning a surprise win over Sunderland last time out, that much is true.
But with the form West Brom are in, coupled with the backing of a buoyant Baggies crowd, then you really do have to fancy another three points to celebrate on home turf this weekend.
