West Brom star Daryl Dike hits out at what EA have done to him – ‘Disgusting’
Daryl Dike has slammed EA Sports for the rating of his West Brom player card for the upcoming EA FC 25 game.
The 24-year-old has spent a prolonged period on the sidelines recovering from injury, with only four appearances for the Baggies last term, and is yet to feature this season.
Dike took to his TikTok account on Friday [20 September] to unveil his Ultimate Team card for the new games and had serious issues with how EA Sports rated one of his attributes.
He said: “You guys already know what I’m looking at, someone who rates my pace, understand I haven’t ran like that, in like a year and a half and stuff like that but I didn’t lose my legs.
“I still can run, 65 pace is disgusting, that’s like jogging pace that’s nothing, when I come back I’m just going to be sprinting all over the pitch because this is disgusting.”
Daryl Dike must focus on a big West Brom return
While it is all well and good for players to interact with their fans via their social media, Dike should focus more on his rehabilitation and returning to the West Brom setup rather than how EA developers rate his ability on a video game.
The American has hardly set the world alight in the Championship with seven league goals in his maiden campaign last year, Josh Maja, the preferred option up top for Carlos Corberan this season already has five goals this season in five appearances.
Dike has entered the final stages of his recovery [Ash Burty] and will soon be available for selection at The Hawthorns, his return will be a timely boost and help Maja share the workload throughout the season but, he has a lot of work to do upon his return to challenge his Nigerian teammate for a starting berth.

He has become a beloved player in the West Midlands even interacting with the West Brom supporters on social media throughout his time away and, he will surely be welcomed back into the fold with open arms.
With Devante Cole losing a one-horse race as deputy to Maja and Mo Faal departing for Wrexham there will be plenty of minutes for Dike to impose himself on the Championship upon his return but, at the moment it doesn’t look like there are many forwards in the second-tier that could displace Maja from this West Brom side.
