Daryl Dike injury and return update shared as West Brom release images

West Brom are unlikely to give Daryl Dike reserve minutes before mid-October after his Achilles injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that as he’s ruptured both Achilles tendons, the club are expected to be more conservative with him.

This comes after the Baggies released pictures on 19 September of their training session with the United States international participating.

Reacting to his training return, injury expert Dr Brar – who is a physical therapy specialist and sports scientist – has told West Brom News:He would’ve started individual training and given the images, may have been gradually integrated into full team training.

Considering the injury timeline which occurred in mid February and that he’s now ruptured both Achilles tendons, I imagine the club will be more conservative with him so I’d reckon mid-October or so before he can get to the reserves.

Based on how he fares in those games, the club may consider getting him back into the first team in late November.

West Brom must not rush Daryl Dike back into action

It makes sense not to rush Dike back given his recent injury history and nobody would want another setback.

He has faced several fitness issues since moving to the Hawthorns and hopefully, he can put them behind him and play a key role in guiding the Baggies back to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old last played for the club on 10 February when he featured for 10 minutes against Ipswich Town.

In other West Brom news, the Baggies will certainly be on high alert as a chance to seal a new free agent transfer may still be on the cards.
