Matt Murray reveals Wolves stick at West Brom as Brentford run riot
Matt Murray revealed that West Brom fans were giving him stick about the Wolves score against Brentford while reporting from The Hawthorns.
The Baggies have failed to win for the third match in a row, this time falling to a 0-0 draw against Millwall on Saturday 5 October.
Something that will give supporters some joy is that their closest rivals fell to a 5-3 defeat against Brentford at the GTECH Community Stadium.
This result wasn’t lost on Albion fans who poked fun at Sky Sports News reporter Murray who reported (5 October, 4:23pm) live from The Hawthorns saying: “I’ve been getting a lot of stick here about the Wolves score.
“West Brom, they’ve had loads of possession, loads of territory but no real clear-cut chances. Millwall’s game plan is working perfectly. At the moment, West Brom need to do more.”

It was yet another frustrating day for the Baggies at home, failing to win once again after defeats to Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday.
Another game where the home side had all the possession and the better of the chances without being able to make that count.
Carlos Corberan will be frustrated with his side but will be happier to at least take home a point this time out.
Although it wasn’t the result that supporters wanted, they showed their happy side as they poked fun at Wolves fan Murray who was reporting live on the Millwall draw.

It was a day to forget for the Baggies’ rivals, conceding five away from home against the Bees in a fifth consecutive defeat for Gary O’Neil.
The Old Gold scored three on a visit to the capital but some lax defending was the difference on the day which resulted in some stick for their former keeper at The Hawthorns.
In other West Brom news, whispers of a ‘crisis’ have been rubbished by one Aston Villa fan who has made a promotion admission.
