The Hawthorns blasts back at Millwall fans after what they did v West Brom

West Brom fans were quick to drown out their travelling opponents as Millwall fans sang their infamous “Mill” chant at The Hawthorns on Saturday (5 October).

The two sides played out a 0-0 stalemate in the Championship clash, which saw Carlos Corberan’s side pick up their first point in three matches following back-to-back defeats to Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough.

As the Lions’ fans made themselves heard during the goalless draw, the commentators noticed the switch in volume at The Hawthorns, with the Baggies battling back against Millwall’s only chant by singing their hearts out about the Albion.

Speaking live via BBC Radio WM on Saturday (5 October, 4:15pm), Daz Hale said: “Their fans are making a lot of noise, aren’t they?”, as the home side attempted to drown out the away support.

Given no goals were scored between the two sides, the fans’ quirky back-and-forth looked to be the most exciting thing going on at The Hawthorns.

Both teams had chances to steal all three points, especially after a “terrific” moment from Tom Fellows almost produced for Josh Maja, but neither side could break the deadlock.

While Corberan will see the result as two points dropped at home, the fans are very aware of the magic their manager is currently producing, even after the back-to-back defeats recently.

The Baggies are still in the mix for promotion to the Premier League, currently sitting in fourth after nine matches, but the frustration is certainly understood after dropping down from the top of the table.

Corberan can now take the international break as a chance to reset and get his players firing on all cylinders once again and, hopefully, get back to winning ways.

In other West Brom news, Alex Mowatt is undoubtedly undroppable now after recent developments.
