Paddy McNair hails West Brom-linked Isaac Price after transfer rumours

Paddy McNair has hailed Isaac Price after the West Brom-linked ace scored a hat-trick in Northern Ireland’s 5-0 win against Bulgaria on Tuesday 15 October.

Michael O’Neill’s men secured their second Nations League victory win in this campaign after a goalless draw last time out against Belarus.

The 21-year-old was the inspiration behind the win, scoring three goals from the attacking midfielder role.

After being linked with a move to The Hawthorns in the most recent window [Sacha Tavolieri, 3 August], summer signing McNair has reacted, via Instagram on 15 October, with a fire emoji to the Standard Liege starlet’s showing.

Carlos Corberan had a busy window over the summer where 11 new faces came through the doors in the Midlands to refresh the squad.

The likes of Uros Racic and Torbjoern Heggem have proved to be successful for the Baggies in a positive start to the campaign.

Alongside the new additions, midfield options John Swift and Alex Mowatt have proved to be as important as anyone in winning games under the Spaniard.

With that being said, it is unclear whether or not another attack-minded midfielder would be needed for the Albion this campaign.

After the performance of Price for Northern Ireland, the Albion may be left questioning their decision not to sign the youngster from the Belgian outfit.

It has to be said that this goalscoring performance did come out of nowhere given that these were his only goals for Northern Ireland and just his second, third and fourth goals as a senior footballer.

As a result, Corberan may be better served holding out before making a judgement on signing the versatile midfielder.
