The Baggies academy side suffered a 2-1 defeat on Thursday 17 October with Swans winger Aimar Govea scoring a 92nd minute winner.

Ollie Bostock wows West Brom fans with U21 goal

There has been no lack of academy prospects making their way through to the first team in the Midlands with Tom Fellows being the latest example. Fans are hopeful that Bostock could prove to be the next on the production line at The Hawthorns.

One supporter drew a direct comparison between the two, saying: “Ollie Bostock is a clone of Tom Fellows its actually scary”.

Another suggested that the 17-year-old needs to be introduced to Carlos Corberan’s squad, saying: “Get Ollie Bostock near the first team before it’s too late. Kid is a gem.”

There is plenty to like about the Baggies winger who is clearly showing early signs of becoming a fan favourite in the coming years.

One supporter has suggested to “remember the name” and with Bostock on the scoresheet once again, it won’t be long before he gets a chance in and around the first-team squad.

It will be a challenge to displace the likes of Karlan Grant and Mikey Johnston but there is hope that the youngster can do so in the future.
