West Brom fans amazed by Karlan Grant after what he did v Oxford United – ‘Monster’
West Brom fans were left blown after what Karlan Grant did against Oxford United in the 1-1 draw on Saturday 19 October.
Carlos Corberan’s team made their way to the Kassam Stadium in the Championship, taking the lead in the first half before the U’s found the back of the net in the dying minutes.
Grant was the standout for the visitors, with the winger smashing home a brilliant goal from almost 25 yards to open the scoring.
Karlan Grant has finally found his feet at West Brom
After the fixture, West Brom acknowledged the 27-year-old’s performance on X, and fans also made their feelings known.
One supporter wrote: “Said from the 50th minute he was MOTM, absolutely monster performance yesterday, looked hungry strong and quick, Hope he keeps this up.”
Another commented: “Karlan Grant was brilliant yesterday and deserved to have been on the winning side, hope he continues this form and grabs some goals to go with his excellent work all the ability is with him, he is proving it.”
Grant wasn’t part of Corberan’s plans last season, with the attacker being sent out on loan to Cardiff City, where he was a first-team regular.
However, despite impressive displays for the Bluebirds, it felt like his time at The Hawthorns had come to a natural end.
Thankfully, Grant has seen a renaissance of sorts, starting in nine of 10 fixtures in the Championship and scoring two goals.
West Brom as a whole have been performing well this season, and were it not for the stoppage-time goal against Oxford, the Baggies could have gone joint-top at the time.
Hopefully, Grant will continue to perform each week and charge the club towards promotion come the end of the campaign.
