Sky Sports presenter predicts Luton Town v West Brom result – ‘it’s a perfect night to…’

David Prutton has predicted a 1-1 draw between West Brom and Luton Town in the Championship.

Carlos Corberan’s team are set to travel to Kenilworth Road on 1 November, with the Hatters currently sitting in the relegation zone.

While Rob Edwards’ side are not in the best of form, the Baggies have not won their last six fixtures in the league, and speaking on the Essential EFL podcast [31 October], former Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Prutton predicted a stalemate.

“Problem-y, two teams that you have to say from a winning point of view are out of form, aren’t they?” he said.

“Carlos normally tries to maintain the crumbs of the performance. It’s tough for both at the moment. Someone’s going to have to get something out of this, obviously it’s a perfect night to try and get your form up and running but it’s tough either side for these two at the moment.

“I’m going 1-1.”

West Brom need victory against Luton Town

After an impressive start to the season, West Brom have struggled in recent weeks on either end of the pitch.

The Baggies have scored just two goals at home in the league this season, managing just two wins in six matches.

It’s a different story for Corberan’s team away from home, scoring 11 goals, but their defensive frailties also come out.

The fight for a place in the play-off spots will be close in the current campaign, with several teams in the running and only five points separating thirteenth-place Sheffield Wednesday and fifth-place West Brom.

Corberan’s team could not find the back of the net in the previous fixture against Cardiff City on 26 October in the Championship.

Despite Luton’s recent form, the team that played in the Premier League last season can’t be underestimated, and it’s up to the Baggies to come away with the three points.

In other West Brom news, the club are looking to sign a midfielder from Nottingham Forest in January.
