Taylor Reynolds reveals West Brom Women pre-match superstition

Taylor Reynolds has revealed the song she listens to before each West Brom Women’s match as a pre-game superstition.

Footballers often have different superstitions, whether that be before entering the ground, in the changing rooms, or even what they wear on the pitch during the game.

These can include eating the same meal each time, wearing the same pair of lucky socks, or listening to music and blocking any outside noise, which Reynolds clearly does before a game.

Speaking via the official website [30 October], she said: “I wouldn’t say I am superstitious. But I do have to have the same meal before each game, and actually, I listen to the exact same song before I arrive at a game.

“It’s called ‘Emotionally Scarred’ by Lil Baby. It really just gets me pumped.”

West Brom Women in current need of luck

Siobhan Hodgetts-Still’s side are certainly in desperate need of some of these pre-match superstitions paying off at some point, with the side suffering multiple heavy losses recently.

The biggest blow this season has been the 8-0 defeat to bitter rivals Wolves in front of The Hawthorns crowd, a moment which was not greeted with any positivity on social media.

With the number of exciting recruitments during the summer, such as Rhianne Oakley, Seren Watkins and Ella Haughey, the Baggies should be putting far more points on the board this term.

There is still plenty of time for the Baggies to turn things around, but after being dumped out of the FAWNL Cup by Middlesbrough and falling flat against Stoke City, a lot is left to be desired.

Supports of the men’s team also have a similar feeling due to their form in recent weeks. Despite a strong start to the campaign, Carlos Corberan’s team are without a win in seven outings.

In other West Brom news, Carlos Corberan could request a new striker signing after Daryl Dike’s latest update at The Hawthorns.
