Uros Racic sends two-word message to Josh Maja after West Brom draw
West Brom midfielder Uros Racic described Josh Maja as a “big player” following their draw against Luton Town.
Maja scored his seventh Championship goal of the season against Luton with a ludicrous back-heel effort that left Thomas Kaminski rooted to the spot.
Despite a poor run of form for the Baggies, Maja has been a standout performer for his side and another goalscoring performance just demonstrated his importance to the team.
In an Instagram story post after the game, Racic was keen to sound his teammate out for praise, captioning a clip of his goal with the two words: “Big player.”
West Brom need to find the winning formula
Carlos Corberan’s side occupied the Championship top spot earlier in the season but an ongoing winless run that reached seven games at the weekend has seen the Baggies fall further away.
Scoring goals has been the main cause of concern for the club, with the Baggies failing to score in four of their last seven.
Maja has been the standout performer throughout the campaign but a lack of creativity and goals from elsewhere has prevented West Brom from maintaining any consistency or momentum from what was an excellent start.
Mikey Johnston, Jed Wallace and Grady Diangana are three players with plenty of ability but all three are yet to get on the score sheet this season. They have all failed to even register an assist.

Their performances as of late has led to outside criticism and while the winless run continues, the spotlight will only become more prominent.
Perhaps, the positive to take out of the current run is that West Brom are a very tough team to beat and as soon as things start to click offensively, Corberan’s side have more than enough to have a successful season.
In other West Brom news, Don Goodman is amazed that a small section of the fanbase are questioning whether Carlos Corberan is still the right manager for the club.
