Tony Brown has described a lack of efficiency from West Brom in the final third as a "problem" with the Baggies recording their fourth goalless draw in six games against Burnley on Thursday.

Josh Maja started the season in excellent form and showcased his ability as a natural goalscorer but things have changed quickly at the Hawthorns with Carlos Corberan's side struggling to find the back of the net.

Their winless run extended to eight games on Thursday (7 November) having drawn six of those encounters and Brown acknowledged the issues in front of goal.

On BBC Sport's live report of the game, West Brom's all-time records goalscorer said: "The problem is with the supporters when we're not scoring goals.

"Since Maja's dried up, we haven't really looked like troubling teams. It's a problem.

"It's not like turning a tap on or off, you have to work on it, persevere and hope you get that one result to turn confidence around."

West Brom form is a concern

West Brom are winless in eight, although one positive is that they are still picking up points despite the poor run of form. However, the Baggies need to start turning these draws into wins before they slip down the table.

As it stands, Corberan's side remain in fifth position. This given their recent form is quite impressive although it is a testament to the performances demonstrated earlier in the campaign.

However, as they say, goals win games and West Brom aren't scoring them. Baggies supporters are becoming somewhat accustomed to a 0-0 draw, which on one hand showcases how hard they are to beat but, on the other, exposes just how toothless they are in an offensive sense.

Things don't look like they're getting any easier anytime soon either, with fixtures against Norwich, Sunderland and Sheffield United all on the horizon.

If West Brom can just start finding the finishing touch, they can solidify a spot in the Championship top six.
