Carlos Corberan will hope Torbjorn Heggem comes back unscathed after what happened last night
Torbjorn Heggem has been one of the best players at West Brom this season, and the defender is reaping his rewards as he was handed his full debut for Norway against Slovenia.
The Lions travelled to Stozice Stadium on 14 November in the Nations League, and goals from Antonio Nusa (2), Erling Haaland and Jens Petter Hauge gave the visitors a 4-1 victory.
While it was a relatively comfortable outing for the Norwegians, one player who looked out of place was Heggem, who struggled to showcase his quality on the day.
The 25-year-old conceded a penalty and was shown a yellow card after a clash of heads with an opponent in the box.
While the defender failed to replicate his form for Norway, the West Brom faithful recognise his talent, with the former IF Brommapojkarna star proving to be a bargain signing for the Baggies.
Torbjorn Heggem failed to replicate West Brom heroics for Norway
Heggem has been in fine form at The Hawthorns, and it’s a shame to see him struggle on the international stage with all eyes on him.

Against Slovenia, he was arguably the worst player on the pitch for Norway, winning just 33 per cent of his ground and aerial duels, committing two fouls and being dispossessed once, as per FotMob.
Apart from that, the centre-back made just one tackle in the match, was accurate with 50 per cent of his long balls, made one clearance, one interception and three recoveries.
Norway will go up against Kazakhstan next on 17 November, and Carlos Corberan will be hoping Heggem returns to West Midlands mentally unscathed and continues to grow in confidence at The Hawthorns.
