West Brom striker Daryl Dike injury update emerges amid new setback
West Brom striker Daryl Dike is unlikely to play a senior game before the year ends after his recent injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the best way for the United States international to handle the muscle setback is to ramp down, see what caused the setback and then increase intensity as he recovers.
Carlos Corberan has revealed he’s held talks with the 24-year-old after his recent hamstring setback.
Reacting to his situation, injury expert Dr Brar – who is a physical therapy specialist and sports scientist – has told West Brom News: “He had a muscle injury in training while returning from a previous injury.
“Unfortunate but can happen when ramping up.
“The best way to deal with it is to ramp down, try to figure out the root causes, and then ramp back up.
“I’d say it’s highly unlikely he will play again this year for the senior team.“
Daryl Dike looks no closer to making his return
Dike has not featured for the Baggies since rupturing his Achilles tendon on 10 February and looks no closer to returning.
It has been a wretched few years for the striker as he’s had to battle setback after setback in the aim to return to full fitness.

While no timeline has been issued over his return from the hamstring injury, it is expected to be over a month which is not encouraging news.
