West Brom Championship fate predicted by Opta Supercomputer
West Brom are predicted to have a part to play in the Championship play-offs with a 53.62 per cent chance of achieving promotion through that route.
Having recently ended an eight-game winless run, West Brom will be hoping they can use the momentum from their victory against Hull to go on a positive one.
As it stands, West Brom are just six points from the top of the Championship albeit their chances of winning the league are just 3.34 per cent, according to the Opta Supercomputer (19 November).
However, the Baggies are predicted to finish fifth, behind the likes of Sunderland in fourth and Leeds United in first.
If Carlos Corberan’s side are to be successful in their push for a playoff spot, the Supercomputer has awarded them a 53.62 per cent chance of achieving promotion.
West Brom can still achieve promotion
Despite what had been a poor run of form up until recently, West Brom still have plenty of key components that give them a good chance of tasting success in this campaign.
Arguably the biggest one is their manager, Corberan. The Spaniard is often labelled as the best coach in the division and with a squad full of talent, they have every chance of a Premier League return.
If Corberan can get his best players back to playing the way many know they are capable of, there are very few teams that will be able to stop the Baggies and despite their recent run, they still possess the best away form in the Championship.
Providing that they can keep within touching distance until January, the transfer window could provide a huge opportunity for them to strengthen their promotion credentials.
A return to the Premier League would be huge for the Baggies and certainly something the fanbase deserves who have stuck with their team despite being outside the top flight since 2021.
