Adrian Chiles stuns football fans as West Brom image emerges – ‘Sensational’

Adrian Chiles paid a fitting tribute to Liam Payne as he wore a West Brom coat to the former One Direction singer’s funeral on Thursday.

Wolverhampton-born Payne died aged 31 last month after falling from a third-floor balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Payne was well known to be a Baggies fan and was regularly spotted at The Hawthorns in his youth. Albion offered their condolences on 17 October, saying: “We’re shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Baggies fan and musician, Liam Payne.

“Our thoughts are with Liam’s family, friends and loved ones at this tragic time.”

Payne was laid to rest at St Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire on 20 November and understandably, a lot of celebrities were in attendance.

But it was Chiles’ appearance that caused a stir on social media as the beloved West Brom fan turned up wearing a Baggies training coat that dates back about 10 years.

X users were quick to react to the images of Chiles in his Baggies gear, with many seemingly unaware of the link between the Black Country club, the former One Show host and Payne.

Obviously, West Brom fans understood the reference, as well as a Wolves supporter:

In other West Brom news, this Albion player’s loan spell could be over after a fresh injury blow.
