West Brom loanee suffers foot injury, unlikely to play again for club

Fenton Heard has sustained a foot injury while on loan at Rushall Olympic as he approaches the end of his loan period away from West Brom, according to Express and Star.

Despite joining the National League North side at the end of October, Heard has made just two appearances in all competitions before being subjected to a period on the sidelines.

The 20-year-old impressed on his debut as Rushall lost 2-0 to League Two side Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup but just 11 minutes into his first league appearance, he was forced off with a foot injury.

A return to West Brom for Heard

Heard joined Black Country side Rushall on an initial one-month loan period that will conclude at the end of the month, therefore leaving his future very much in doubt.

While he had a bright start in his first game for the non-league outfit, with only one appearance under his belt so far it seems unlikely that his loan spell will be extended past the initial month agreed.

The young Albion midfielder will no doubt be eager to get back on his feet as soon as possible though in the hope of getting the chance to go out on loan again and make an impact elsewhere.

The boyhood Baggie fan sees his deal with West Brom expire at the end of this season so it is essential he can get fit again and get the experience he needs under his belt now in the hope of a smooth summer transfer window.
