Carlos Corberan delivers injury update on Frabotta ahead of West Brom v Norwich
Carlos Corberan confirmed Gianluca Frabotta is available for selection when West Brom host Norwich City on Saturday.
The Italian defender had been unavailable for selection due to a groin injury but is in contention against the Canaries (23 November).
However, Corberan has confirmed via the club’s official website [22 November] that the 25-year-old has been training and is available for selection against Norwich.
“Gianluca Frabotta has been back in training and should be involved in the squad as long as everything goes to plan leading up to the game,” the Baggies boss said.
Frabotta hoping to hit the ground running for West Brom now
Frabotta has not featured as much as he would have liked since moving to The Hawthorns this summer, with the last of his five appearances coming in the 3-2 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday on 28 September.
Part of the reason for that has been the form of Torbjorn Heggem, who has become a real fan favourite among the Baggies faithful and looks a shoo-in to play whenever fit.

Bad luck then struck before the break when Heggem was required to play at centre-back due to injuries to Kyle Bartley and Semi Ajayi, as Frabotta ended up on the sidelines himself.
It is hard to imagine that Corberan will stray from the back four that started the 2-1 win at Hull City prior to the international break when they host Norwich, so Frabotta may have to stay patient.
But it is good that Corberan’s defensive ranks will be bolstered a little after a spate of injuries in defence.
