West Brom fans rage at Jed Wallace after what happened v Norwich – ‘Woeful’
West Brom fans were left raging by Jed Wallace’s substitute appearance in the 2-2 draw against Norwich City on Saturday.
The Baggies maintained their unbeaten run on 23 November, coming back from behind to salvage a point with all four goals coming in the first half.
Going in search of a second-half winner, Carlos Corberan replaced Tom Fellows and Mikey Johnston with Lewis Dobbin and Wallace, a change which didn’t pay off.
The latter’s performance certainly didn’t go down well with supporters who came under heavy scrutiny after the game.
Jed Wallace torn apart by West Brom fans after Norwich draw
The Hawthorns faithful were behind their team from the start of the clash against the Canaries but were left far from impressed by the 30-year-old.
Coming on with 20 minutes to go and the result finely poised it is safe to say fans were unsure why Corberan had made the change as one said: “What does Jed Wallace really offer?”
Other supporters were more scathing in their review of the winger with one labelling him as “absolutely woeful”.
One fan suggested that the Baggies boss was showing an element of favouritism to experienced players at The Hawthorns, describing Wallace’s selection by the Spaniard as “embarrassing”.
The Baggies’ skipper should still have plenty to offer in the Championship at 30 but that doesn’t appear to be the case right now.
It is safe to say that the ex-Millwall man’s performance hasn’t gone down well which could see the likes of Harry Whitwell handed a chance in the coming weeks.
