Frabotta to make first Championship start – West Brom predicted XI v Sunderland
Carlos Corberan will be forced to make one change to his West Brom starting XI for the trip to Sunderland on Tuesday.
Right-back Darnell Furlong will miss the contest on 26 November as a result of his booking against Norwich, his fifth of the season leading to a suspension.
Therefore, Gianluca Frabotta is expected to deputise in his place for the clash with the second-placed Black Cats and get the nod ahead of academy talent Reece Hall.
The Baggies could take a step towards an automatic promotion place with a victory, bridging the six-point gap to their opponents.
Carlos Corberan to give Frabotta a chance to impress for West Brom
The Baggies have not lost since 1 October and Alex Palmer’s form between the sticks has been a major part in that run, with the 28-year-old conceding five goals in eight matches since the 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough and there is surely no chance he loses his spot.
Furlong has been an ever-present so far but will miss the contest due to suspension, with Corberan potentially Frabotta a chance to make an impact on what will be his first Championship start. The summer signing from Juventus has made four substitute appearances in the league so far and should form a makeshift full-back pairing with Callum Styles.
Mason Holgate and Torbjorn Heggem may continue in the centre of the defence, with Paddy McNair, Semi Ajayi and Kyle Bartley still ruled out through injury.

Alex Mowatt and Jayson Molumby look likely to carry on in the middle of the pitch after forming a solid partnership in the engine room.
Tom Fellows and Mikey Johnston are expected to start on the wings, meanwhile, with Josh Maja and Karlan Grant set to continue upfront after the duo’s solid performance against Norwich.
Grady Diangana is not expected to be part of the squad and will have a scan on his calf injury on Monday (25 November)
