Leicester react to Carlos Corberan buy out clause at West Brom
Leicester City are concerned about the buyout fee in Carlos Corberan’s contract at West Brom, according to DOOD.
Guillem Balague shared on Monday [25 November] that Corberan is one of the favourites to replace Steve Cooper at Leicester.
However, DOOD quickly responded via X and shared that Graham Potter and David Moyes are ahead of the Spaniard on the Foxes’ list.
Leicester concerned by Carlos Corberan buy out clause at West Brom
DOOD did not reveal how much the Premier League club would have to fork out to acquire Corberan’s services, but they would have to pay a significant sum as the manager is contracted at The Hawthorns until 2027 after signing an extension in February [West Brom].
Whereas, Potter and Moyes are both available for free. The former has been without a club since being sacked by Chelsea in April 2023, while the Scot left West Ham United at the end of last season.
It, therefore, makes sense for Leicester to target Potter and Moyes over Corberan, who have Premier League experience unlike him, to replace Cooper.

They would have already had to spend a significant amount of money to sever ties with Cooper, who they hired to replace Enzo Maresca in the summer.
The 44-year-old arrived at the King Power Stadium on a three-year deal but has been sacked 12 league games into the season with the East Midlands outfit sitting just a point above the relegation zone.
In other West Brom news, the Baggies have been slammed for this transfer which has turned out to be a disaster.
