Leicester squad informed decision on hiring Corberan after £3m West Brom news
West Brom manager Carlos Corberan will not be the new Leicester City manager, according to the Telegraph’s John Percy.
The Foxes sacked Steve Cooper on Sunday just five months into his spell at the King Power Stadium with the club sitting second bottom in the Premier League.

However, the Telegraph report that the Leicester players have been told he is not in the running at a summit meeting, stating: “In the meeting it was also relayed to the players that the next appointment will be a “free agent” and no new compensation will be paid to secure the new man.
“That rules out West Bromwich Albion’s highly regarded Carlos Corberan, who would have cost more than £3 million to prise away from The Hawthorns.”
Leicester ending Corberan interest is a big relief for West Brom
The Premier League club ending their interest in Corberan should be a big relief for the Baggies.
The Spaniard has been criticised lately for a poor run of form, with the midlands outfit only winning one of their last 11 Championship matches.
However, the club still sit in seventh place in the Championship with a six point gap to Burnley who currently occupy second place, the final automatic promotion spot.

It must be remembered that the former Olympiakos manager has taken the Baggies from the relegation zone to a play-off contender in a short amount of time.
The fact that Leicester seem to have moved from Corberan should be music to the ears of the West Brom faithful.
