West Brom fans amazed by Karlan Grant after Sunderland draw – ‘Insane’

West Brom fans have lauded Karlan Grant after his performance against Sunderland in the Championship.

The 27-year-old started his 15th game of the season in the 0-0 draw at the Stadium of Light on 26 November and was one of the best players on the pitch.

It was the Baggies’ ninth draw in the league in the current campaign, and despite the stalemate, The Hawthorns faithful couldn’t help but applaud their English attacker after the match.

Karlan Grant has enamoured West Brom fans

Grant was substituted just before the end of the fixture against Sunderland, but many recognised his overall contribution to the match.

One fan took to X and stated: “Karlan Grant is some player, man. Wow. Insane work rates.”

Another wrote: “I owe an apology to Karlan Grant, by the way. Bloke used to get peppered by me for his efforts. Fair play to him though, I’m eating humble pie for breakfast lunch and dinner at the moment. Bloke has been a revelation this season.”

The 27-year-old has had somewhat of a renaissance at West Brom this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists in Championship appearances.

Carlos Corberan didn’t seem to trust the Englishman much, as he was loaned out to Cardiff City for the 2023/24 campaign.

But it looks like Grant has been able to turn things around with the Spaniard and has become one of the Baggies’ most important players in recent months.

Corberan has deployed the attacker in multiple positions this term, and he’s thrived in all of them.

The 27-year-old was similarly sensational at The Hawthorns against Norwich City on 23 November, and The Albion are lucky to have a player like him at their disposal.

In other West Brom news, Mikey Johnston must be dropped from the starting lineup after what he did against Sunderland.
