West Brom and Wolves fans rage over flag image – ‘Burn it’, ‘Woke’
West Brom and Wolves fans have formed a rare alliance to hit out at an England flag with both teams’ badges on it.
The rivalry between the two Black Country clubs needs no introduction, but cricket is making an attempt to unite both sets of fans as an England flag with their badges was spotted during the Barmy Army’s ongoing tour of New Zealand.
Wolves supporter Dan posted a picture of the flag via X on Wednesday [27 November], fully expecting a backlash from fans and that is exactly what they got.

One Baggies fan called for the flag to be burned, while another told Dan not to return to England without getting rid of it.
Wanderers supporters agreed about the flag needing to be binned, with one fan dubbing the act “disgraceful” and another calling it “horrendous”.

There has not been a Black Country derby between the two teams in a league game since their 1-1 draw in the top-flight in 2021.
Although they play in different divisions at the moment, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that they lock horns with each other next season.
Whether it is in the Premier League or the Championship remains to be seen. Corberan’s side could still secure promotion despite falling eight points behind first place in the second tier, while Wolves could face the drop from the top flight.
