West Brom fans troll Craig Dawson after Wolves scenes – ‘Transfer request soon’

West Brom fans have been left in hysterics after Craig Dawson scored two own goals in a 4-0 loss for Wolves on Wednesday.

Gary O’Neil’s side suffered a blow at Goodison Park on 4 December thanks to efforts from Ashley Young, Orel Mangala and two self-inflicted strikes.

The former Baggies defender was on the scoresheet in the wrong net twice on Merseyside which has prompted Albion fans to react on social media.

The 34-year-old spent nine years at The Hawthorns and played a key role in the Premier League and Championship across his spell.

The Englishman was a favourite with supporters until he joined their bitter rivals from West Ham in January, but may have changed that negative view with his performance against the Toffees.

In response, one fan said: “Craig Dawson. You Beauty.”

This opinion was echoed throughout the Ablion fan base with another referring to the ex-Albion man as “Agent Dawson”.

Another shared how funny he found the situation as they said: “Being married to a Wolves fan, I don’t usually laugh when they do badly, but I will absolutely make an exception at Craig Dawson scoring two own goals.”

It is safe to say that this calamity of errors from the former Baggies man has gone down with supporters, especially doing to for Wolves after describing him as a “Baggie at heart”.

Whether or not this will mend any of the ill-feeling towards the defender at The Hawthorns or not, fans clearly still enjoyed the result.
