Torbjorn Heggem says West Brom teammate is a ‘clown’
Torbjorn Heggem has called Alex Mowatt a “clown” as he labelled him as the funniest member of the West Brom squad.
The Baggies are having a mixed season with Carlos Corberan and sit seventh in the Championship as they look to quality for the play-offs.
Despite sitting in the crucial positions at the minute, the Baggies will be concerned about the number of draws they have picked up with 10 of their 18 games resulting in them coming away with only a solitary point.
Nevertheless, it seems as though the team are in good spirits as they look ahead to the rest of the season with camaraderie amongst the squad very much in place as when asked who the funniest member of the dressing room was, the Norweigan told West Brom’s official club website: “I think Alex Mowatt is taking that one. He’s a funny guy, maybe a clown. Mowwy likes a prank and I think Swifty is on the receiving end of most of them. Every time he sees me he says “ow am ya” from when we did the video before. He still sticks with that.”
West Brom need to start getting three points
It is clear to see that the morale at The Hawthorns is high with the teammates seemingly a close-knit group, something which will only serve them well going forward as they endeavour to achieve promotion to the top flight.
However, Corberan and his side will be keen to break this cycle and start picking up two more points from many of their games.
Both Heggem and Mowatt are mainstays in the Baggies side this campaign with the pair having played in every one of their side’s games so far meaning they will know the importance of changing their run and what needs to be done to ensure this is the case.
There are plenty of positives at the Hawthorns and plenty to be celebrated by the supporters. What is important now is that the players can transfer their off-the-pitch relationships to the field allowing them to have a strong second-half of the season and really cement their place at the right end of the Championship table.
