West Brom blow after what Sheffield United manager Wilder has said

Carlos Corberan has received a blow ahead of West Brom’s game against Sheffield United as it has been confirmed that Rhian Brewster will be in the squad and Kieffer Moore may also be available for selection.

Brewster has been out injured for five games whilst Moore has missed the last four ahead of the game against Corberan’s side.

Between the two strikers, they have contributed two goals and an assist to the Blades’ efforts this season before facing periods on the sidelines.

However, Chris Wilder has confirmed that he will have options up front for the game against West Brom as he said in his pre-match press conference [quoted via the Yorkshire Post]: “Rhian will be involved on Sunday, which I’m delighted about.

“Kieffer we’re waiting on but he’ll definitely be involved on Wednesday night. So that decision’s yet to be made.

“But with me talking about Kieffer being definitely involved on Wednesday night, he has a chance of being involved on Sunday.”

Sheffield United a tough test for West Brom

The Baggies will have a tough game against Sheffield United on Sunday [8 December] as they look to carry on their unbeaten run of 10 games.

Despite an impressive run, Corberan’s side have drawn nine of those last 10 games meaning there is still plenty of work to be done if his side are going to remain in the play-off spots up until the end of the season.

The Blades are already a tricky opponent already as they come into this game on the back of seven games unbeaten as they continue to battle for the top spot in the Championship.

Although Brewster and Moore have not contributed the most to their side’s attack during the campaign so far, their returns to the squad gives Wilder more options up front which is never a bad thing.

Meanwhile, it puts some pressure on the Baggies who won’t be keen to see their opponents strengthen ahead of this game.
