Wolves fans rage over West Brom bombshell news – ‘We riot’

Wolves fans have been left dismayed following reports that poaching Carlos Corberan from West Brom is top of their hierarchy’s list if Gary O’Neil is sacked.

The boss of the Baggies’ Black Country rivals is under pressure at Molineux as his side are sitting 19th in the Premier League table, in the relegation zone.

With speculation building, Spanish journalist Matteo Moretto has reported that Corberan is the number one target to succeed O’Neil should he be sacked after his side face West Ham on Monday [9 December].

Wolves fans don’t want Carlos Corberan from West Brom

The Spaniard has done a good job with his current side competing at the right end of the Championship table currently sitting seventh in the table.

However, Wolves supporters are yet to be convinced by the rumoured appointment with supporters responding to the rumour with statements including “No way I want him here” and “I’d rather keep Gary.”

Despite their success, the Baggies currently find themselves in a bit of a rut having drawn nine of their last 10 games.

This could well be part of the reason behind supporters not being keen on this appointment but given the proximity of the two teams geographically, if this did happen it would surely feel like a bit of a betrayal to the Baggies fans.

However, you also have to question whether this would be an obvious upgrade from Gary O’Neil and although Corberan has been impressive in his managerial career so far, he probably hasn’t done enough to convince the crowd at Molineux that he is the man to take them forward.
