West Brom star ruled out indefinitely as specialist investigates new issue
West Brom forward Grady Diangana has seen a specialist for his calf injury, and there’s no timeline for his return to action, according to Steve Hermon.
The Albion journalist revealed on his X account [6 December] that the Congolese winger has suffered nerve damage, which has kept him out of the last three fixtures.
Dr Rajpal Brar recently told West Brom News that the 26-year-old may not be back to full fitness soon, something that Hermon has now confirmed.
The Baggies are set to face Sheffield United in the Championship on Sunday [8 December], and Carlos Corberan will be without Diangana again, while Chris Wilder has been handed an injury boost with the return of Rhian Brewster and Kieffer Moore.
Grady Diangana absence a blow to West Brom
The Hawthorns faithful have been frustrated recently, with The Albion managing just one win in their last 12 matches in the Championship.
Corberan has struggled to bring the best out of the attackers at his disposal, and the Baggies have scored just four goals in the league this season.
Josh Maja is the West Midlands club’s leading goalscorer in the current campaign, finding the back of the net 10 times.
West Brom need all of their forwards to chip in, which evidently hasn’t been the case, making Diangana’s absence even more concerning.

While the 26-year-old hasn’t always been the first name on the teamsheet for the Baggies this term, the Spanish manager would certainly want him as an option.
In the previous campaign, the DR Congo international was essential at The Hawthorns, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.
The Albion supporters will hope Diangana isn’t out for too long and returns to action soon.
In other West Brom news, fans will be furious about Corberan’s response to Wolves question.
