West Brom fans rave over Heggem after Sheff Utd draw – ‘My king’, ‘Worth £150m’

West Brom fans have reacted to Torbjorn Heggem netting his first goal for the Baggies in their 2-2 Championship draw against Sheffield United on Sunday.

Heggem has settled into life brilliantly at The Hawthorns already, with his arrival in the summer arguably the best move Carlos Corberan made.

He’s been a regular fixture in the Baggies’ starting XI thanks to the amount of injuries their defenders have suffered this season.

Finally, against the Blades on 8 December, the Norway international netted his first goal, with one supporter labelling it as a “fantastic” finish while another dubbed him the “GOAT” after his cool finish.

Another hailed him as “my king” while another said he must be worth £150million if Liverpool once paid £75m for Virgil van Dijk.

Torbjorn Heggem is already becoming a cult hero at West Brom

Before the centre-back arrived at The Hawthorns, it’s unlikely that many had heard of the towering Norweigan.

However, since his summer arrival, he’s forced himself into Corberan’s starting XI and has made his way into the hearts of many fans due to the performances he’s put in.

Thanks to West Brom gaining a point from Chris Wilder’s men, they now find themselves eighth in the Premier League table and just two points adrift of the playoff places.

While eighth might not be the end of the world for the Baggies, the fact that they were at the top of the second-tier table for a decent amount of time near the start of the season will no doubt be playing in the back of their heads.

However, as long as Heggem can keep up his good run of form and potentially get his head on the end of a few more crosses, Corberan’s season could be saved by the Norweigian, as long as he isn’t swept up by a Premier League team before January.
