Corberan to axe midfielder in two changes – West Brom predicted XI v Coventry

Carlos Corberan could axe Jayson Molumby from his West Brom starting XI in two expected changes for their upcoming Championship clash against Coventry on Wednesday.

The Baggies added yet another draw to their second-tier tally after they drew 2-2 with Sheffield United on 8 December.

Corberan will no doubt be eager for his team to return to winning ways soon so that they can make their way back up the table and perhaps get in the mix for a top two spot.

Alex Palmer is obviously going to be the man between the sticks after he’s become something of a mainstay in Corberan’s team.

The backline should remain unchanged from their draw against the Blades on Sunday due to the lack of defensive options available to them at the moment.

Darnell Furlong has made the right-back spot his own with Torbjorn Heggem and Kyle Bartley both taking up the centre-back spots in the team to face Coventry.

Fans will no doubt be hoping the Norwegian continues his run of form and perhaps adds another goal to his tally after getting his first for the Baggies at The Hawthorns.

At left-back will be Callum Styles who has found himself deployed in an unnatural position for most of the season thanks to the amount of injuries the Baggies have suffered.

Alex Mowatt will take up his role in the centre of the park but his partner will be where we see the first change.

Jayson Molumby is full of energy, but it feels like John Swift could add more to the team thanks to his attacking nature, despite his recent poor run of form.

On the flanks, Tom Fellows will take up his role at right-wing following a rather impressive performance at The Hawthorns against Chris Wilder’s men.

Mikey Johnston, however, is likely to be the second change with Lewis Dobbin set to enter the starting XI to add a little extra pace on the wing and perhaps try and get West Brom out of their cycle of drawing games.

The strikeforce will also stay the same with Karlan Grant and Josh Maja both helping lead the line with the duo no doubt looking to extend their solid run of form over the past few weeks.
