Tony Brown unhappy with what he saw Heggem do in West Brom win v Coventry
Tony Brown was unhappy with what he saw West Brom defender Torbjørn Heggem do during the 2-0 victory against Coventry.
The Norweigan has started in all of the Baggies’ 20 matches in the Championship and has impressed so far in this campaign.
It was a tight game and Heggem was caught out by runs by Norman Bassette a few times, most notably in the third minute when the scores were still 0-0 before Alex Mowatt made it 1-0.
Albion legend Brown was not impressed with the 25-year-old in the [BBC Radio WM, 20:34, 11 December], saying “He’s done brilliant, Heggem, since he came here.
“But once or twice, he’s just got caught out by little runs behind him this evening.”
Heggem has been brilliant for West Brom
The Norway international has played all over the Albion backline for Corberan so far this season due to injuries to centre-backs Kyle Bartley, Paddy McNair and Semi Ajayi.
Naturally a left-back, he was again required to play in the middle of the defence for the visit of Coventry to The Hawthorns.
He struggled with some runs in-behind in the first-half and was caught out again in the second-half but Jack Rudoni’s header was saved by Alex Palmer.

Albion are still in the mix for a playoff place after the win, after a painful run of ten draws in their last 11 matches before the contest.
Some supporters have called for the Spanish manager to leave the club following that run, with interest from local rivals Wolves in his services but that is a ridiculous view.
Corberan dragged the club out of a relegation battle and turned them into playoff contenders, he will not be going anywhere.
In other West Brom news, Coventry supporters rattled the Baggies fans with a chant about a former player.
