Jayson Molumby ’embarrassing’ as West Brom antics blasted in loss v Watford
Jayson Molumby caused embarrassment with his “play-acting” as West Brom were beaten by Watford on Sunday, Chris Lepkowski has said.
The Baggies fell victim to a 2-1 defeat to The Hornets with Molumby scoring the visitors’ goal at Vicarage Road (15 December).
Molumby, not for the first time in his career, was involved in a minor altercation in the second half with Watford midfielder Imran Louza, which saw the former bizarrely holding his face in what can only be deemed as an attempt to deceive the referee.
The incident didn’t go unnoticed with Chris Lepkowski immediately picking up on the dark arts, taking to a post on X to say: “Actually embarrassed by his play-acting.”
West Brom need to address the damming creativity issue
Defeat to Watford once again exposed the lack of creativity in this West Brom side that has haunted them throughout the majority of the campaign.
The Baggies often do well in transition before any potential move completely breaks down whether it be to a lack of quality or poor decision making.
If this season is going to come of anything, it needs to be addressed as a priority in the transfer window otherwise any hopes of a promotion push may effectively be binned.

Carlos Corberan has come in for a lot of criticism in recent weeks but the Spaniard can only work with what he has and it simply isn’t enough if West Brom are going to win games on a consistent basis.
With that said, Corberan remains crucial to the hopes of getting back on track and he needs to be supported in January with attacking reinforcements capable of changing games because they simply do not have the options at the moment and with each passing week, it is becoming more of a concern.
