West Brom fans are unphased by the news that Wolves have sacked Gary O'Neil despite Carlos Corberan being linked with the vacancy.

Baggies supporters were baffled when Corberan was initially linked with a switch to their Midlands rivals on 6 December.

The Spaniard is currently second-favourite for the role considering the bookmakers' odds, he is 4/1 with BetVictor behind only Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (2/1).

West Brom fans not taking Corberan rumours seriously

Following the news of O'Neil's sacking by Wolves, one Baggies supporter commented on X, saying: "O'Neil sacked. Let the Corberan rumour mill begin."

Another replied: "Been recent claims that the Dingles have emerging PSR issues due to their league position, so it's unlikely they can afford to cover CC's release clause."

The Spaniard has taken the Baggies from the relegation zone to the playoff places since he was appointed in 2022.

However, he has been under heavy pressure in recent weeks with his side winning just two of their last 12 Championship matches, drawing a staggering ten games in that period.

The Albion fanbase is split on whether the manager should remain in the role but they should trust Corberan to take them to the playoffs.
